I don’t agree with how the news station handled this situation. A meteorologist was handed a cardigan because the station was receiving emails from viewers about the dress she was wearing. You can see the story here.
As a wardrobe consultant I feel the meteorologist looked great in her dress. I see broadcasters in sleeveless dresses all the time and I wear them myself. The dress was a great length, fit her body well, and did not expose cleavage. I would not have interrupted the program to hand her a cardigan.
With that being said it was not my favorite dress style for this occasion. The shimmer and thin straps on the dress give it more of a cocktail vibe. Admittedly I’m not aware of the dress code for this station, however a suggestion would be if the station doesn’t have one it might be a good idea to implement one.
